The Miracle Stage

In the year 2005 scientists began experimenting with genetic mutations to make animal and human hybrids. They tried from lions, gorillas, to foxes, to any animal you can think of. Every single one of these experiments took months, some would fail immediately, some would grow and finally get to the stage of an embryo, but even fewer got to the stages of fetuses but even then all of them would be disfigured and would get disposed of and tossed away as failures. Except for one, on May 7th 2006, those scientists deemed the entire project a failure, but decided to do one last experiment with a panda and human hybrid, it got passed every stage, from conception, to embryo, to fetus. The scientists originally did not believe it would work, and it would fail like every other experiment, since no other experiment went past the fetus phase. But something was different with this one. This one looked different, no disfigurement, nothing wrong with its organs, it seemed like it may be the one to work. The scientists barely cared for the thing until they noticed that it was different from the others, they began to put all of their effort into keeping this one alive and making this one work. It passed the fetus stage, and on February 7th 2007 the first human and animal hybrid was born. A beautiful human panda baby boy,When he was born he was being tested to see what made him so different. Why only he worked, and for 3 years he was poked and prodded, being tested upon, and locked away. He was only given the bare necessities. Around when he was 2 and a half, they brought someone in to teach him how to speak. But he was not given parental figures or anything of the sort, no parental guidance between that time. That teacher he had was a very rude and distasteful woman, who would hit the boy if he got anything she taught him wrong.Around his 4th birthday they put the boy with a female panda who had unfortunately lost its cub due to illness. When the boy was placed in the same room as the female panda. The boy backed himself in a corner and stood there in fear. Because that boy only knew pain. He began curling himself up in a ball. This female panda noticed the boy walked over to him, smelled him and noticed his fear. The female panda touched the boy, and the boy jumped in fear.But the female panda began to speak.
“It’s alright my child, I’m not going to hurt you.”
The boy noticed he could understand her.
“Let me take a look at you”
The female panda noticed the bruises and marks all over the boy's body.
“You poor soul, it’s ok.”
The female panda gently picked up the boy.
The boy began shaking even more now, terrified and can barely move. The only thing the boy can whisper is don’t hurt me.
The female panda embraces the boy with love and compassion.
The boy, never having been shown love before, stops. Feels the female pandas soft fur on his face, on his hands and looks up. The female panda is smiling and says “ it’s ok. They won’t hurt you anymore”
The boy looks at her and bursts into tears, after being shown love for the first time. She coddles the boy to sleep and for the first time in his life that boy had a mother.To be continued in...The Upbringing Stage
